Job Summary
Women’s lifestyle brand seeks a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer Consultant to join our Content Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design and a passion for visual storytelling. As a Graphic Designer Consultant, you will be responsible for creating compelling graphics that effectively communicate our brand message and engage our audience. You will work closely with editors, producers, social media, and other teams to develop innovative designs that meet project objectives and enhance our market presence. This role will apply art, design, and copy layout skills to create visually engaging concepts such as logos, promotional and branding materials, communication media, and other print and digital materials. Roles And Responsibilities
Develop and design visual assets for various platforms, including print, digital, and social media. (Includes WE-TV Episode and Email Graphics, Podcast Episode Graphics, Weekly Devotional Email Graphics, Social Media Graphics, WE Outreach Graphics, and WE Events Graphics, i.e., tours and conferences.)
Collaborate with marketing teams to create layouts and graphics that align with brand guidelines.
Manage content through content management systems, ensuring timely updates and consistency across all channels.
Provide art direction for projects, ensuring adherence to design standards.
Conduct photo manipulation and editing to enhance visual appeal.
Create sketches and mock-ups to present design concepts effectively.
Collaborates and consults with editorial, digital media, and content strategy staff and/or other project participants to understand project assignment, audience, and intended message.
Creates original visual media that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way.
Chooses graphics, clip art, and stock photography, as appropriate; may enhance choices with simple drawings.
Prepares drafts of design work and provides samples to editorial or other appropriate staff for review.
Revises projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback process.
Maintains records of billable project time as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in graphic design required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; major or significant coursework in Art, Graphic Design, or related disciplines highly preferred.
Excellent sense of design.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software and graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
Experience in fast-paced environments; able to make decisions under pressure and pivot when necessary.
Experience with content management systems is preferred.
Excellent skills in sketching, photo manipulation, and art direction.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics and visual composition.
